Dessert Table: Classic Lace & Pearls
This charming and elegant Dessert Table at Fullerton Bay Hotel's roof top restaurant - Lantern, was definitely a crowd pleaser. The beautiful bride who's gown was made of lace, chose lace & pearls as her theme for the table. She mentioned to us that she isn't a fan of pink hence we decided on a classy palette of ivory and peach.
The table consists of classic favorites such as cupcakes, macaroons and chocolate mousse. Brownies, chocolate profiteroles, cream puffs and wine jelly completed the sweet offerings.
We loved the breezy outdoor setting and it definitely brought with it a very refreshing and somewhat surreal ambiance.

Kaelyn's First Month Celebration
Ok...I have finally gotten down to sorting out the pictures and re-labeling them in order to share with all of you. I set up this Dessert cum Savoury table for my daughter's First Month Celebration in May (ha! yes it took me 3 months+).
It took me some time to think of the theme and colors. Then i narrowed it down to 3 choices - Strawberry Shortcake with pink & green colors, Cute as a Button with colorful pastels or Little Sunshine with a palette of pink & yellow. But it was quite easy to pick after this as this little girl of mine is really a little sunshine!
We had 2 sessions, tea for the friends and lunch & dinner for the family. A very busy weekend indeed!
I started off by designing the invitation. Sunshine, Bunny and Chick were picked to be the key characters of the party. I wanted them to be cute and chubby like how all babies are!
For the lovely tea session, main feature item was of course sunshine, bunny & chick cupcakes combined with flowers and marshmallow babies. I also did little flower marshmallow pops that made the whole table prettier!
Some of the other sweet treats include macaroons, wafer biscuits, cream puffs, chocolate eclairs, tiny marshmallow bites, strawberry rolls and hershey chocolates. Aside from that, I also prepared a salad bowl, mushroom soup and egg & crab mayo sandwiches.
Each guest also received a little box of customized hershey kisses with sunshine, bunny, chick and flower motifs. I toyed with a few ideas initially...a petite cupcake each or a bag of sweet treats but decided then since chocolates are my favorite, it should then be everyone's too! Ha!
I picked hot fuchsia pink, sweet baby pink and rays of yellow sunshine to do up the table. The overall look was to be happy, fun, cheery and bright! Of course who could forget matching cutlery and flowers ... i chose pink gerberas and white daisies, how pretty they were.
Next up was the lunch session the next day...
As we had elder family members joining in the party, we had to prepare more savoury items, moreover it was for lunch. So we had noodles, chicken wings, pandan chicken and savoury kuehs.
My little sunshine's already 4.5mths now! The next big thing would be her 1st Birthday now ; )
